A swimming pool slide can be a great edition to your in ground pool, especially if you have young children. Of course you can purchase different types of slides all with different fun features, such as twist and turns or running water (provided by a pump).
There are basically two types of slides and the one you decided to purchase will be based on your needs. The first type of slide is
the in ground pool slide, in ground pool slides are made from either polyethylene or acrylic. An in ground pool slide is typically fixed to the outside of the pool and heights range anywhere from 4ft up to 12ft. Typically an installer can install the slide or of course you can do this yourself, fixed slides will cost the most money compared to any other type of slide.
The second type of slide is the inflatable one, inflatable pool slides are generally a lot cheaper compared in ground slides. The main disadvantage to an inflatable pool slide is that they are not as fun compared to a big, twisting in ground slide. Inflatable pool slides have flat surfaces and are not as tall as in ground pool slides for that reason they are not as fun.
If you have young children then an inflatable slide might be the best solution, because the height of an inflatable slide is around 2ft – 4ft high it’s safe for young children. Also if you are on a budget than an inflatable slide will be your best solution.
If however you want a more permanent, more fun bigger slide, then a fixed in ground slide is the best solution for you. Of course you will need a bigger budget but it will be worth it in the long run.
